    Caravans, Touring Camping and Pods: Easter-End Of October

    Dogs are warmly welcomed at Whitehill Country Park in our range of caravans, lodges and touring/camping pitches. We have a large dog exercise area, woodland walks, warm dog shower, doggie accessories and much much more.

    It should be noted that there is a maximum of 2 dogs per unit. Dogs are not permitted in our camping pods.

    Our Dog Charges are:

    Caravans and Lodges £30 per break, £50 per week

    Touring and Camping £2.50 per night per dog

    Yes, FREE WiFi is available across our park!

    The password is provided on arrival.

    WiFi is subject to availability and network conditions, uninterrupted coverage cannot be guaranteed. Please be aware that this free service may not be sufficiant for online gaming/streaming.

    COVID-19 UPDATE:

    Our reception will be open daily from 8:30am, however please only visit if necessary. Only one person can entry reception at any one time. Please understand that if our maintenance team need to enter your accommodation to investigate/repair a fault, you will need to vacate the accommodation. We will carefully clean and sanitise anything we have touched.

    You are welcome to use charcoal or gas barbeques. We just ask you not to place barbeques directly onto the grass, accommodation steps, decking or furniture. Please ensure they are extinguished and disposed of responsibly. Pizza ovens (e.g Ooni) are permitted on the condition that this is only fueled with the recommended pellets. Never take a lit or smoldering barbeque inisde your accommodation or tent.

    If staying in a Signature VIP Caravans, brick built barbeques or holders for disposable barbeques are provided.

    Campfires, fire pits and wood burning (chopping down trees/fences) is strictly prohibited.

    Yes, you are welcome to have guests visit you at your accommodation or pitch, however please understand that our entertainment, pools and facilities are only available for use by registered guests. 

    Smoking is prohibited throughout our facility buildings, accommodation and around the poolside. Designated smoking areas are provided.

    Yes, a fast electric vehicle charging point is available for you to use our main car park. To charge, swipe RFID card or use the App - garoev.app

    Please do not attempt to charge your vehicle using the electricity supply at your accommodation/pitch under any circumstances. Our onsite power supply is 13amp and is not able to support the continuous load required for EV charging, (even when using the supplied emergency ‘granny charger’). This will overload our systems leading to a serious fire risk, as well as power outages and damage to your vehicle.

     

    You are welcome to use inflatable rings in the outdoor pool, however large novelty inflatables, body boards, large inflatable, snorkles, footballs, mermaid tails and water guns are not permitted.

    For the indoor pool, only child floation devices (arm bands, baby floats) are permitted.

     If it is available at time of booking we will do our best to ensure you are allocated the specified pitch or accommodation. A charge applies, please contact us on 01803 782338 for further information.

     

    All holiday balances are due 42 days before the start of your holiday.

    To pay your balance call our Reservations Team on 01803 782338, or if you booked online you can access your online account to pay. 

    Confirmation documents are sent via email shortly after your booking is completed. Please contact our Reservations team on 01803 782338 if you have not received your confirmation or would like to request another.

    Should you need to cancel your booking please inform us as soon as possible. Written notification of cancellation is required, please email [email protected] or send by post to Reservations, Whitehill Country Park, Stoke Road, Paignton, Devon TQ4 7PF.

    Please be aware that all bookings are subject to our booking conditions.

    We ask that all accommodation/pitches are booked under the name of the person or persons occupying the accommodation/pitch. If booking more than one accommodation/pitch, please provide individual names and addresses.

    We do not accept group bookings, however you can request to be located next friends or family. Additional charges may apply. 

    COVID-19 UPDATE We are currently limiting new 'with friends' bookings requests to a maximum of 2 pitches/units, in response to with the current government guidelines. We appreciate your understanding.

    Yes. We do require you to pay a deposit at time of booking to secure your holiday accommodation. These vary depending on the type of accommodation and the length of your booking.

    • Touring, Camping and Pods £80 per week 
    • Holiday Caravan £100 per week
    • Lodges £120 per week

    ​If you are staying more than 7 nights, you will be required to pay a 2 week deposit.

    The remainder of your holiday balance will be due 42 days before the start of your holiday.

    Checking In

    By car (from North)
    From the end of the M5 at Exeter, take the A380 towards Torquay, into the heart of the English Riviera and follow the signs to Paignton/Brixham. At the Tweenaway lights, stay in the right hand lane and turn right onto the A385 Paignton to Totnes Road. Take the left at the Parker Arms pub. We are one mile on the left, along the road towards Stoke Gabriel.

    By car (from South)
    From the A38, take the A385/A381 through Totnes towards Paignton. At the Parkers Arms pub turn right. We are one mile on the left, along the road towards Stoke Gabriel.

    By train
    The nearest train station is Paignton Station, a 10-minute taxi or bus ride.

    By bus
    From Paignton Bus Station, take the No.25 bus to Whitehill Country Park. The bus route will stop at the gate to Whitehill Country Park. The stop is named Whitehill.

    Check In times are as follows:

    • Camping, Touring and Pods from 12pm.
    • Holiday Caravans and Lodges from 4pm

    If you arrive after reception has closed, head to the Hayloft Bar. If arriving after 10pm please call to arrange a late check in. To avoid disturbing other guests, we kindly ask that all touring and camping bookings arrive before 9pm.

     

     

     

    COVID-19 UPDATE We have introduced a 'drive-through' check in, please ensure you have your booking number to hand on arrival. 

    Your booking number can be found on your holiday confirmation.  This is normally emailed or posted to you shortly after booking your holiday with us. 

    Our Reception is open from 8:30am-late. If you arrive after our Reception has closed please make your way to the Hayloft Bar, where you can check in up until 10pm. If arriving after 10pm please call us to arrange.

    To avoid disturbing other guests, touring and camping arrivals should arrive no later than 9pm.

    All pitches, pods, caravans and lodges must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

    We are currently asking guests to kindly depart the site by 12noon.

    Camping, Touring and Pods

    You will need a standard outdoor 16 amp/240v Mains electric cable for all electric pitches. You may need up to 15 metres length. These are available from all good camping shops as well as our on-site shop.

    Awnings, pup tents and gazebos are permitted on the majority of our pitches for an additional nightly charge. Pup tents are for storage only. Please contact our Reservations Team about current charges.

    All pitches and pods have space to park one car. Please park any additional vehicles in the main car park. We do not accept commercial vehicles.

    For Camping and Touring: Yes. Hairdryers are available in the amenity blocks. 

    For Caravans and Lodges: Hairdryers are provided in Signature VIP Hot Tub Accommodation only. For all other accommodation types we recommend bringing your own.

     

    There is no additional charge. Water, electricity and use of the shower facilities are included in the nightly rate.

    For touring and camping we allow a maximum of 6 people per pitch, plus 2 dogs.

    Our Orchards pod sleeps a maximum of 2 people whilst our Woodland pod has capacity for 2 adults and 1 child.(Dogs are not permitted in the pods)

    You will need to bring all your camping gear, minus the tent!

    Our pods include:

    • A pull out double sofa bed (plus single fold out mattress in Woodland pods).  
    • Mini fridge
    • Kettle and cups 
    • Outdoor table and chairs.
    • The pods have lighting, heating and plug sockets 

    You will need to bring:

    • Pillows
    • Sleeping bags/duvets and bed linen
    • Towels

    You may also wish to bring:

    Cooking equipment e.g plates, cups, cutlery and camping stove.

    Unfortunately not, the use of paddling pool and water slides in strictly prohibited. The excess water and sun damaged caused by the use of these seriously affects the integrity of our pitches and can make whese unusable for the next guest. 

    No, campfires, fire pits and wood burning (chopping down trees/fences) is strictly prohibited. 

    You are welcome to use charcoal or gas barbeques, and pizza ovens (e.g.Ooni) are permitted on the condition that you only fuel these with the recommend pellets.

    Yes, an ice block hire service is available from our Country Store.

    The initial cost is £1.30 per block (includes £1 deposit), then 30p per block for each refreeeze/exchange.

    When you return your block at the end of your stay, you'll recieve £1 deposit back!

    Please note: We only offer hire ice blocks and cannot to freeze your own personal ice blocks, as we are not able to guarantee these will 
    be returned. Thank you for your understanding.

    Holiday Caravans and Lodges

    Yes, a selection of pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided for you. All caravans and lodges have a microwave.

    Yes, all Holiday Caravans and Lodges have gas central heating thoroughout. You will also have an electric fire place in the living area,

    Yes, travel cots and highchairs can be hired from reception for an additional charge of £10 per item.  They can be hired on arrival, but we recommend booking these items in advance, please contact us on 01803 782338 for assistance.

    One bath towel per person is provided for all Holiday Caravans and Lodges. Please note that these are not changed. An additional charge applies if you would like fresh towels during your stay, please contact reception for further information. Additional towels are not provided for hot tubs.  

    Holiday Caravans do not come with irons or ironing boards, however ironing facilities are available free of charge in our laundrette. Irons and ironing boards are provided in Lodges.

    The majority of our caravans and lodges have allocated parking for one car outside, however this is not guaranteed. Please inform our Reservations team at time of booking if adjacent parking is a specific requirement and we will do our best to ensure your request is met. If you have two cars, the second vehicle must be parked in the main car park.

    Dog-Friendly Holidays

    We offer a range of dog-friendly accommodation to suit all budgets. Dogs are welcome to join you on all our camping and touring pitches, and we also offer a range of dog-friendly caravans and lodges. Please be aware that dogs are only permitted in specified dog-friendly accommodation which must be pre-booked. Additional charges apply.

    Please note: Dogs are not permitted in our Camping Pods.

    We offer a range of dog-friendly accommodation, however if you made your booking before you had a dog you will not have been allocated dog-friendly accommodation. Dogs are only permitted in our specified dog-friendly accommodation. If you now wish to bring a dog you will need to contact us as soon as possible on 01803 782338 as we will need to amend your booking. Additonal charges apply per dog. Max 2 dogs per unit.

    Yes. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per accommodation/pitch.

    Dogs are welcome to join you in the following areas:

    The Hayloft Bar and Restaurant  - upper level is a dedicated dog-friendly seating area.

    Hayloft Terrace -  all areas  

    Reception -  all areas

    Hayloft Cafe - outside seating area

    Rafters Family Amusements - lower levels.

    When on-site, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are permitted off the lead in the fenced Dog Excerise Area and the Bluebell Woods.Owners are also responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. 

    Please be aware that dogs are not permitted around the poolside or any other park buildings/facilities not specied as dog-friendly.

     

    Holiday Home Ownership

    The best way to find out if our park is the right location for your dream holiday home is to come and have a look around, and better still to stay with us!     Holiday homes are available for use 11-months of the year (February-January) and during this time you and your family can visit as often as you like!

    Our indoor swimming pool is open all year -please see our website for availability of other faciliites and entertainment.

    Please be aware that your holiday home can only be used for leisure purposes - a permenant residential address must be maintained elsewhere, proof of which is required annually. If you are looking to use your lodge as your primary address you will need to find an alternative park with a 'Residential' licence.

     

    No, you cannot use your holiday home as your permenant address.

    Our holiday homes are strictly for holiday use only and not as your permanent residence. We are licensed as a holiday park, so you can only use your holiday home for leisure purposes. A permanent residential address is required to purchase a holiday home and annual proof (e.g council tax bills) are made to ensure this is maintained.

    No, you will not own the land.

    You are purchasing the holiday home with the right to occupy the pitch for the specified term, as long as all pitch and utilitity fees are paid, and the park rules are adhered to.

    Our pitch agreements are for 40 years on all new lodges, after which time there will be a review.

    Our pitch fees contribrute to park maintenance, gardening, refuse collection, road maintenance, street lighting, the WiFi network and use of park facilities and common areas.

    Our team are also on-site all year round if you require assistance.

    Yes, there will be some additional costs involved when owning a holiday home.

    • Site fees are payable annually (please ask for current fees).
    • Gas, electricity and water are metered and charged at cost.
    • You will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of your holiday home
    • If your lodge has a hot tub, an annual maintenance charge will apply - please note, this will also ncrease your water charges.

    One way to offset the running costs of your lodge is to let this out when not using the lodge yourself. Many of our holiday home owners to choose to do to this and the lodges on offer are extremely popular. Rental charges are dependent on specification of lodge and letting dates. Current rental charges range from £460 for a short break off-peak, up to £2680 per week in peak season. Commission and cleaning charges will apply.

    When buying a holiday home, this should be principally for your own use, however we are able to offer you the opportunity to let your lodge out, when not in use by you and your family.

    Letting is a great way to offset the running costs of your holiday home. Many of our current owners to choose to do to this and the lodges on offer are extremely popular, especially if they are dog-friendly or include a hot tub! Rental charges are dependent on specification of lodge and letting dates. Current rental charges range from £460 for a short break off-peak, up to £2680 per week in peak season. (Max price applies to Platinum Hot Tub)

    If you choose to let your lodge, we recommend purchasing a letting pack, which includes a standard inventory of kitchen equipment, crockery, bedding etc required for the letting category you lodge qualifies for. This allows our housekeeping team to easily replace anything that may be lost or broken. We also recommend that all food stuff is removed for letting and that you  remove or securely store any personal/sentimental/valuable items that you don not wish holiday guests to use. 

    Commission and cleaning charges will apply.

    Leisure Club Membership

    No, sorry!

    We only offer one level of leisure membership which include use of all the park facilities including the pools, fitness suite (16yrs+ only), soft play, entertainment, bars and restaurants.

    Whilst we appreciate this many not be what you are looking for, we are primarily a Holiday park, and this ensures that our holiday guests, lodge owners and members have the same level of access to the onsite facilities, avoiding any confusion and providing a relaxing environment for all!

    No, we're not offering payment by monthy direct debit. Upfront payment is required for the chosen membership duration. 

    Leisure Club Members are issued with a limited number of complimentary guest passes at the start of their membership term.

    Our facilities are for the exclusive use of Leisure Club Members, Holiday Home Owners and Holiday Guests. Additional guest/day passes are not available.
