Under the current circumstances we are not providing our usual information pack on arrival. Please take a few moments to read through the following information...
Please ensure you are up to date with the latest government advice and COVID-19 regulations and understand what this means for your personal circumstances. If you do make the decision to continue with your break, then we will assume that you and your party are compliant with all government and local advice.
We are in a Medium Risk Area under Tier 1 Restrictions (Rule of 6 and 10pm Curfew)
If any of your household or party are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) or have been told to self isolate, please do not travel.
If you are unable to travel, please call us on 01803 782338 as soon as you can and we can discuss the options available.
We are operating a 'drive-through' check in at the main gate. To ensure a speedy service, please ensure you have your booking number to hand on arrival. Accommodation keys will be sanitised and provided in a sealed bag.
What Time Can We Check In?
Touring, Camping from 12pm
Camping Pods from 12pm
For Pods, as usual, please supply your own bedding and towels
Holiday Caravans & Lodges Now from 5pm
We hope you can understand that to give our housekeeping team the extra time required to thoroughly clean and sanitise your Holiday Caravans and Lodges, we have had to move check-in time to 5pm. We recommend arriving on-site no earlier than 2pm. Caravan and Lodge beds will be made on arrival and towels will be supplied
Please check in before 9pm for touring, camping and pods and 10pm for holiday caravans and lodges.
On your departure day all pitches and accommodation must be vacated at 10am and we kindly ask you to depart the site by 12pm.
If staying in our accommodation, we will now require you leave windows open on the latch, strip your beds and leave all linen and towels inside the front door before leaving.
Maintenance and Assistance During your Stay
Our reception will be open daily from 8:30am, however please only visit if 100% necessary - only one person can enter reception at any one time.

Please understand that if our maintenance team need to enter your accommodation to investigate/repair a fault, you will need to vacate the accommodation. We will carefully clean and sanitise anything we have touched.
What do I do if I develop symptoms of Covid-19 whilst during my stay?
If you or any members for your party develop symptoms of Covid-19 during your stay, you and your household must return to your accommodation immediately, staying at least 2m away from any other guests and staff. Please notify us immediately by calling 01803 782338 (please do not visit reception) and request a test.
During this time do not use any of the shared facilities on site and remain isolated from other guests and staff. For medical assitance call NHS 111 (or 999 if you are seriously unwell).
For the safety of our park users and staff, you will be required to return to your home address, if safe to do so, as soon as possible.
Staying Safe | Social Distancing Whilst On Holiday
Social distancing guidelines must be followed at all times and for the safety of our guests and staff we will continue to practice 2 metre distancing onsite, this can only be reduced to 1 metre in areas where other measures (e.g. Perspex screens) are in place.
If you are able to, please download the NHS Covid-19 App - codes are available to check-in to venues onsite.
Hands - Face - Space
Please remember that:
- We must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6. This will apply indoors and outdoors, at all venues and includes private homes and holiday accommodation. This limit will be enforceable in law. You can only gathering in larger groups when everyone is from the same household/support group.
- Face coverings must be worn in all indoor public areas, where possible.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times to ensure social distance is maintained.
Only registered guests are permitted onsite. Under the current government guidelines, visitors are not permitted - if you have friends in the area please arrange to meet them elsewhere.
Our staff have the right to refuse service to anyone failing to comply with social distancing regulations. This could also lead to the immediate termination of your stay at Whitehill.
What's Open At Whitehill
We are working to safely open as many facilities as possible. The facilities currently available include our Shop, Hayloft Bar and Terrace, Granary Bar, Hatch Take-Away, Launderette, Outdoor Playgrounds, Fitness Suite and Outdoor Swimming Pool. (See below for current opening times)
10pm Curfew - All Bars and Restaurants must close at 10pm. Last orders for the bar will be at 9:30pm and all customers must leave by 10pm.
A ‘Take-Away’ food service will be available which you can order for collection from the Hatch or delivery to you table in the bar area. Unfortunately the current guidelines, limiting staff numbers in the kitchen, mean we cannot safely provide a full restaurant service in the Hayloft Bar at this time.
The Soft Play and Arcade areas remain closed until further notice.
Swimming At Whitehill
To ensure the safety of our guests and staff, we have made some changes to the way we operate our pool. Due to the Government's covid-secure guidelines, timed sessions are now in place and swimmer numbers are strictly limited to a maximum of 22 at any one time. Between each session, the area will close for 15 minutes to allow for additional cleaning around the poolside and high-contact area.
So as many of our guests as possible can enjoy this facility:
- Use is limited to 1 session per day, per accommodation booking.
- A maximum of 6 swimmers per booking.
- A maximum of 2 non-swimming spectators will be permitted on the poolside.
- Each session is 45 minutes.
- New bookable sessions will be released daily (between 9am-11am) for the following day. Bookable one day in advance.

Fitness Suite At Whitehill
- All Fitness Suite sessions must now be pre-booked
- To ensure as many guests as possible can access this facility, bookable sessions are limited to 45 minutes (with 15 minute cleaning break in between sessions)
- Hire of the Fitness Suite is £6 per session
- Each bookable session provides private use of the Fitness Suite for One Household (Max 4 people from the same household)
- All users must be aged 16 years+ and an accompanying adult (18+) must be present at all times.
- Before booking a Fitness Suite Session all users must carefully read the Exercise Readiness Questionnaire. You will be required to confirm your understanding and acceptance when completing the online booking.

Evening Entertainment | Selected Nights from 7:30pm
Enjoy live music and entertainment featuring our brilliant Entertainers Harriet, Chris and Derry on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:30pm in the Granary this Autumn.
Campsite Shower and Toilet Facilities are Open
Regular, robust cleaning and hygiene procedures are in place throughout the park and hand sanitising stations are located at key points which should be used before and after visiting the facilities. Whilst every effort will be made to reduce the spread of infection, shared facilities remain high-risk areas. All guests must remain alert, follow the guidance on social distancing, practice good personal hygiene at all times and ensure face covering are worn in all communal areas, where possible. Please ensure children are supervised at all times when using the facilities. If you have your own shower and toilet facilities within your caravan or motorhome, we recommend using these whenever possible. Restrictions are in place in the shared facilities area, with guidance about the new protocols displayed at the entrance and within the building. Please be aware that some areas may be out of use and queuing inside the facility building is not permitted - if all the cubicles are in use, you must leave, returning later or use the next available onsite facilities.
Out and About
We are lucky to be located in a beautiful countryside setting, within close reach of spectacular coastline and beautiful Devon beaches, the Southwest Coast Path and Dartmoor National Park. Onsite you’ll find private woodland walking trails and from the park you can enjoy a peaceful socially distanced walk to the village of Stoke Gabriel with its picturesque mill pool and quay. WiFi At Whitehill
Free WiFi Hotspots are available in the Hayloft Bar and Rafters. You can access this using your Facebook login or ask the bar staff for a password.
Holiday Caravans and Lodges include complimentary WiFi for up to 3 devices - ss we have temporarily removed our welcome folders, log-in details and a 'How to Guide' are currently display inside the boiler cupboard of your accommodation.
Dogs At Whitehill
- Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times when onsite, unless in the designated Dog Exercise Area or Bluebell Woods (See park map)
- Scoop that poop - Owners are responsible for cleaing up after their dogs at all times.
- Please NEVER leave your dog unattended inside your accommodation or vehicle or on your pitch.
- £1 from every Dog Booking goes to support our local rescue centre, Animals in Distress. Last year we raised £1072 - Thank you!
